The unit has an integral fan which produces minimal noise. The fan moves the air through the UV system, therefore treating the air quickly. This unit is completely safe to use around people but suggested not for long periods of time hence why they are for washrooms only.

The unit DOES NOT show any harmful UV light. The unit has a safe window at the front to show that the unit is lit and working. The fan has a protective shield over the fan to avoid potential injury, but should be kept out of reach.
